Guest post by Dr. Tracy Thomas

Back in January, I shared with you my personal story about working with Holtorf Medical Group to heal my thyroid issue.

Now, I'd like for someone very special to me to share her story, as well. She's in her 60's, works out 5 times a week, and hardly a day goes by where someone doesn't comment on how healthy she is.

Allow me to introduce my mother, Frances DeJong.

Take it away, Mom.

******

It started in my early 50's.

I was a mess.

I was tired all the time, sluggish and unmotivated. It felt like I was dragging my body behind me. I couldn't concentrate. I didn't feel attractive.

It was obvious to anyone who knew them me that I had changed. That I wasn't the same person they had always known to be energetic, fun, confident, highly motivated at work and at home. I used to be upbeat, healthy, and aways up for anything.

This was not me anymore. I was gone.

The doctors said everything was fine, including my thyroid.

So I attributed the way I felt to aging.
I felt like I was at a dead end.
This was how my life was going to be.

It was depressing.

This went on for years, until my daughter (whom you know as Dr. Tracy) discovered Holtorf Medical Group. She spoke to me about how the hormonal work with Holtorf changed her life, and she referred me there.

I was skeptical.

After all, my doctors said I was fine. I was just aging, right?

Wrong.

Going to Holtorf Medical Group was one of the best things I've ever done for myself.

They changed my life.
They made me healthy.
They balanced my hormones.
They made me feel alive again.

Because of Holtorf, I am now very active. I work out 5 days a week, which includes running 5 miles 3 times a week, doing Pilates, and weight training. My body is in shape, and I feel better now, in my 60's, than I did when I was 40.

In fact, for me, being hormonally balanced is like reliving my 30's, 40's, and 50's all over again, but in a much healthier way. My body feels tuned in with my youthful-thinking mind.

I'm not tired all of the time anymore. I have energy. I'm motivated. I don't feel sick all of the time. I travel to Europe and feel great the whole time I'm away. I am always on the go with my girlfriends and my husband, living a healthy life.

Every day, someone makes a comment on how healthy I look and act.

I tell them about Holtorf and balancing your hormones. Most don't believe me, but I tell them I'm living proof.

And I am.

I don't know where I'd be right now if I hadn't gone to Holtorf. I think I would still be dying a slow death. It scares me to think about it.

I entrusted myself to Holtorf, and they saved me.

Thank you, Holtorf. You've changed my life. I'm healthy and happier than I've ever been.

I'm not surprised that my mother's story sounds far-fetched to people.

When I tell my own story, I get people who think that "balancing your hormones" is some kind of new-agey mumbo jumbo. Or that their own doctors have already given their hormones the thumbs up.

But my doctors told me my hormones were fine.

My mother's doctors told her the same.

And if you speak to just about anyone else who has experienced Holtorf Medical Group's extensive hormonal work, they'll tell you something similar.

Here's the thing, You have a thyroid. You have hormones.

There's no getting around that.

But hormones, as prevalent and powerful as they are, don't get nearly as much attention and credibility as they deserve.

The way most people feel doesn't even begin to compare to how they could feel. The problem is that we've normalized feeling crappy. It's what we're used to. Everyone's tired. It just happens as you get older.

Or so we think.

What if you could be in your 60's with the zest and motivation to live like my mother?

If that's not how you're living, then you owe it to yourself to find out what could be.

Based on my own personal experience, my family friends' experiences, and my own clients' experiences, I can tell you, it could be life-changing.
