What is HCG?

HCG has been safely used to enhance and accelerate weight loss for over 60 years. HCG is a naturally occurring hormone produced in large quantities during the early stages pregnancy. How does HCG work?

Treatment with HCG

Your physician will conduct a thorough evaluation and request a complete lab panel to ensure that you qualify for hCG injections. You will also be closely monitored by your physician throughout your treatment process.

Research suggests a small dose or injection results in a weight loss of a pound per day, and often more, when accompanied by a very low calorie diet of approximately 500 calories. In a famine state, the very low calorie intake is what activates the hCG hormones to seek those stubborn fat stores that you want to get rid of.

The duration of hCG therapy will be customized for each individual and dependent on the amount of weight loss desired. The maintenance phase is the three weeks following the strict HCG program and is recommended to reset your metabolism . On the 4th day following the last HCG injections, you are allowed to increase your caloric intake from 500 to 1200 calories per day and you may begin to reintroduce more foods except for starches and sugars.

The amount of weight loss depends on many factors including how much excess weight you have and how much weight needs to be lost. On average, most patients will lose approximately 15-20 pounds in a 30-40 day cycle.
