Holtorf Medical Group was founded by Dr. Kent Holtorf with a goal to treat patients struggling with symptoms that were unexplainable by traditional medicine. Within his practices, Dr. Holtorf established the importance of taking a holistic and innovative approach to healthcare to help patients regain their health and get their life back. Treatment at Holtorf Medical Group centers around the interconnectivity of various systems of the body with the goal of addressing the root cause of symptoms. Dr. Holtorf’s desire to help those suffering from undiagnosed health concerns stems from his own personal health journey. In medical school, he suffered from terrible fatigue, barely able to function. He was told by numerous specialists that he was depressed or stressed, and simply needed to get more sleep and exercise more. Standard tests revealed nothing abnormal, and yet, nothing seemed to help him. After a few years, and extensive testing, it was discovered that he had Lyme disease, Babesia, and Bartonella, along with a number of reactivated viruses and mold toxicity.

As he discovered treatment protocol that helped his symptoms, he knew there were many others suffering the same way he had. As a result, he opened centers treating patients with similar issues, who had seen countless physicians only to be told that nothing was wrong with them, yet they felt horrible.

Dr. Holtorf continues to find ways to establish and promote more integrative healing methods by personally training numerous physicians across the country in the use of bioidentical hormones, hypothyroidism, peptide therapy, stem cell therapy, complex endocrine dysfunction, and innovative treatments of chronic fatigue syndrome, weight loss, Fibromyalgia, and chronic infectious diseases, including Lyme and related diseases.

Dr. Holtorf is also the Founder and Director of the non-profit National Academy of Hypothyroidism and Integrative Sciences (NAHIS), which is dedicated to the dissemination of new evidence-based information to doctors and patients on the diagnosis and treatment of hypothyroidism and advanced integrative diagnostic and treatment protocols.
